Every rebuild of the LRT200-2 done by Prolec-GE Waukesha Components Group includes the following standard upgrades:
- Replacement of the original paper-based phenolic support tube with a filament wound fiberglass tube. This tube has higher mechanical strength and superior moisture resistance characteristics. Machined openings between the stationary selector switch contacts and tap changer assembly end plates have been added to eliminate potential for flashover.
- Bypass switch upgrade to latest design.
- Flanged threaded inserts in the main support cylinder for anchoring the vacuum interrupter assemblies.
- Upgrade of the vacuum interrupter lower actuator arms to latest LRT200-2 design.
- Replacement of the laminated wood inner and phenolic outer selector shafts with new fiberglass re-enforced epoxy shafts offering greater mechanical strength and superior moisture resistance.
The following list is a standard scope of work completed when overhauling the LRT200-2:
- Thorough receiving inspection documenting specific details of any observable failures and condition of all essential parts.
